This door fits the twin-compartment compost tumbler type as shown in tho photo below. It has a couple of design differences; the edges don't have the folded-over hem, and the bottom hangs down 1/2" longer to give more material below the latch slots, The hook tabs at the top have radiussed corners where they begin so as to slow the cracking which eventually causes the hooks to break off! The door is plasma-cut to shape and the edges are rough but not sharp. The parts are primed and then painted brown. The brown is one of many medium browns and probably will not be an exact match to your tumbler or its other door.
Of course things last longer if they're treated more gently, which in this case means letting the door back to rest gradually rather than flipping it back and letting it flail to a stop abruptly on its own.
This replacement door DOES NOT include the round plastic grilles, they can I believe still be procured from the composter manufacturer.
The grilles remove by a screw in the deep hole in the middle of the backpiece of the grille.
Just to confirm the part,
- door width is 18 3/4"
- your door length is 19 5/8"
(new door is 20 1/8", {1/2" longer at the bottom}.)
- distance between latch slots at bottom is 8"
- distance between hooks at top is 7 1/8"
- hooks are 1 7/8" wide
The Outdorrrama! Twin Composter replacement door is $48.79 plus shipping,.
