Members, your commentary here. Maybe describe how you think you did this year, how it went this round, or whatever. If I didn't get a pic of you from this round and you'd like to write, send it in and I'll supply a pic from another round and we'll put the comments in that big empty block to the right of the pic. The block will expand for as much as you have to say. David and Jonathan you new guys, write in, how'd it go? People who don't race (yet) would like to know what it's like. Internet Fame and Glory Awaits You!

dateline October 14, 2002:
John Quintos is re-instated as 2nd place finisher in Stock Class
at recent round 7 Streets of Willow event.

As has become the pattern with the advent of Stock Class teardowns this year, after the second stock heat of the day the teardown inspections were conducted. Mark Tomas was scored as 1st place for this round, had his bike inspected first, and was found to be in complete compliance with technical criteria and deservedly emerged as the winner of the 2002 Round 7 Stock Class competition. John Quintos was scored in second place and so was next in line for inspection.
A new point of inspection was instituted at this round and serves to indicate what gearbox or ratios are installed in the motor. This new inspection was successfully performed on Mark Tomas' motor, but when it was done on John Quintos' motor it indicated that the proper transmission components were not present and so John was disqualified from the round for that tech infraction.
Now however it's come to light that the inspection of John's transmission was flawed, and instead, John's bike was in complete compliance with tech all along. Therefore, John Quintos is completely legitimate as the 2nd Place finisher of the 2002 Round 7 Stock Class competition.
I think that Big Thanx are in order first of all to Fabio Ballerin, for his simple naked enthusiasm for us and the sport, and the time, effort, money and substantial help he pitches in. Also for this cool new transmission test he (I think) came up with. Also for his diligence and insistance on getting it right that led to this particular instance getting sorted out for the right in the end.
Also a Big Thanx to John QuinTos (Hey, SF!) for showing Big Style and patience in hangin' with it while this all went down. Stuff's always gonna happen, but it's the quality people that keep things on the right track while they get sorted out.
